I got Prepar3D yesterday thinking its going to be better than FSX, well, im right. Its awesome, one problem I don't believe they have yet to fix, I lag in prepar3D with a KSAN heavy scenery addon.
Now, usually this would happen in FSX, but I'm really wanting Prepar3D to be able to take full capability of my PC.
10-15FPS on the ground. 20FPS in the air (my limit of FPS) Alright, when I turn my camera around in the air to look back at the airport, it has to load?!?! In FSX it never had to load when I looked behind me.
Im running this system:
16GB 1800mhz Corsair
3930k 6 core CPU @ 4.2ghz
Liquid cooling.
GTX 770.
There should be no reason to lag when on Battle field 3 I can play on max with 30FPS+
Does prepar3D even take use of more than 2 cores?
There needs to be a 64 bit version.
Im running version 1.4V I though 2.0V was released
Wierd lag issuies with Prepar3D
Your system is more than good enough. If you thought you was buying v2.0 you can ask for a refund unless you want to pay twice in a sort period of time.

You have 60 days to evaluate v1.4
You can tweak the config file for multi-core use for v1.4 instructions are in the learning center and Kosta has a nice site and lots of useful info.

I use the below tweak for 12 cores. That's a 6 core with hyperthreading = 12 cores. I did notice that your overclocking and LM recommend you don't overclock
