ucrtbase.dll crash, tried fixes none work

Post by YaBoi69420 »

I keep getting a ucrtbase.dll crash shortly after departing from any airport in P3D v5.1 latest hotfix, I've tried all the fixes in other threads I've found about the same issue and none have worked.

This only started happening after I did a Windows update ages ago and I cannot roll back the update. I'm considering reinstalling Windows at this point.

A quick search for "ucrtbase.dll windows 10" on the web found this article:

https://superuser.com/questions/1397010 ... rtbase-dll

and this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/windows/commen ... dll_error/

I got this error myself some time ago and researched it back then, here's what I did:

1. Ran sfc /scannow

2. installed Visual Studio 2005 and 2019 (those take up some room)

3. Ran Windows Update with the switch "Receive updates for other Microsoft products: set to On (I always have this switch set to On) until there were no more updates.

As I mentioned in my post, I have already googled fixes and I've seen both of those links you sent and tried them and it didn't work.
