Turn off mipmap VC in the P3d2 settings. This prevents the CTD when switching from full screen to widowed mode.

This is interesting, I've always ran with HDR off and in windowed mode. Have not had any problems.

I noticed in the A2A thread mentioned that turning mipmaps did not apparently make a difference in the visuals.

I will have to try this trick out and go back to full screen.

It does work, even with HDR on. This is great news for me! I also did not notice any visible difference in VC clarity or quality.

I wonder if it could also work with other planes having the same issue. Has anyone tried? I know I will when I find the time.

Yes, it works with other planes, like Aerosoft Katana and Twin Otter Extended, without any additional patches.

There doesn't seem to be any difference in image quality for the VCs that I have, but they may not use MIP maps.
