Sirs,

Post install of the Windows 10 Fall Creators update, the background flashes of the Main Screen (Aircraft/Model Depiction) and the background of the Aircraft Depiction on the Select Aircraft screen flashes.

Video can be downloaded/viewed at https://www.dropbox.com/s/2jeg3i6ettl09 ... e.mov?dl=0.

Best wishes.

Problem (flashing) seems tied to hard drive activity, so I'm guessing it's constantly reloading the aircraft image for some reason. It's even worse if you load into a default aircraft and then select a different aircraft. See video of this at: https://www.dropbox.com/s/krlnff19ctght ... 7.mov?dl=0

I have reinstalled my graphics driver (latest NVIDIA Driver) and I have reinstalled the P3D Client with no affect. Next I'll uninstall and reinstall P3D Content.

This did not occur before the Windows Fall Creators Update.

Update:

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the P3D Content, and I as suspect it didn't make any difference.

So I uninstalled the Windows Fall Creators Update, and the problem no longer exists.

As a recap of things I tried:

1. Changed graphics settings.
2. Reinstalled the latest NVIDIA Driver (the new NVIDIA installer will uninstall the previous driver).
3. Uninstalled and reinstalled the P3D Client and Content.
4. Rolled back the Windows Fall Creators Update.

The last step cured the problem.

Since others haven't reported this issue, and many report not having other problems, I will try reinstalling the Windows Fall Creators Update this evening and report back on the results.

Best wishes.

Re-Downloaded and Reinstalled the Fall Creators Update, this time using the Windows Update Tool, and the problem returned. Still appears as if the aircraft image is continually being reloaded from the hard drive.

Any assistance would be appreciated!

I found that if I Uncheck VSync in P3DV4.1 the problem goes away. Strange that having VSync checked will cause this!

Hi Dave,
I was getting very heavy 'blinking' when trying to record using GeForce Experience, always with Vsync unchecked, but with target frame rate at unlimited. Setting the frame rate at 30 appears to have prevented the 'blinking'.
I hope that this may help.
Cheers, Richard

Your problem is likely caused by recording in the Game Mode setting not being checked. LM and Microsoft are aware of this issue. Suggest not using NVIDIA to record flights.

The problem I'm experiencing is not in flight, thus it is not the same that you are experiencing. Suggest opening a different thread if you'd like to report it.

Best wishes my friend!
