Saitek Rhino X-55
Saitek Rhino X-55
Hello everyone.
Could someone possibly help a 60 year old to get his Saitek Rhino X55 to work under P3D 2.5
Up to now ive been flying with 64-bit X-plane. Now that Lockheed has bought out the 64-bit i was thinking of switching to that, except before switching i wanted to try out P3D again with my older version.
Would greatly appreciate some help!
Thanks

Re: Saitek Rhino X-55
what problem are you having with the X55? I have been using one for years.
Re: Saitek Rhino X-55
Hello Pop.
Tks for your reply.
It was working under 2.4. I then updated to 2.5 and the throttle doesnt work. Ive tried the p3d-setup-calibration. It says throttle ok! Then I tried to calibrate it manually. Still nothing.
If I load the my own X-55 profile which worked before, I still have the problem.
If I move the trottle controls, the stick moves!
On the logitek-homepage they only have the X-56.

Pop.
Just another quick note.
I returned to X-Plane 11 and found the x55 working perfectly!

Re: Saitek Rhino X-55
If you move the throttle and the stick moves then there is something wrong with your control mappings. Most likely you have duplicate mappings between the stick and the throttle.

Re: Saitek Rhino X-55
What did you do to get it working?
I have been using a Siatek X52 (now with FSUIPC) for years in FS9, FSX Accel, [P3D past versions P3Dv2/v2.1/v2.2/v2.3] ,P3Dv3, P3Dv4, Xplane10 and Xplane11.
Moving throttles and the stick (pitch/roll) moves means assignments are wrong.

Hello Mike B54.
Tks for your reply.
That still leaves the question of why I have to spend the time of calibrating my throttle each time I restart P3D!
Like I said, it was working ok before, so why do I have to change it every time?
Just restarted X-Plane and everything working perfectly!

This is a new problem, correct?
What fixed your original problem?
Maybe you had a problem upgrading P3Dv2.4 to 2.5?
Edit:
If your interest is in P3Dv4 (64 bit) why are you upgrading P3Dv2.4 to v2.5 and testing the X55?
My thought would be to purchase P3Dv4 and test the X55.
Many improvements to P3D have been made since P3Dv2.
If P3Dv4 does not work on your PC setup you have 2 months to get a refund.

Re: Saitek Rhino X-55
You shouldn't have to calibrate them every time. I can't remember the last time I calibrated mine and I have had the X-55 since it was first released.siriusb wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 12:44 pm Hello Mike B54.

Go into your control settings and pay attention to which control is in the drop down box. You will have one for the throttle and one for the stick. In my case I also have one for the Saitek rudder pedals. Select the stick from the drop down then go through all of the settings and if you find any that are functions that should be on the throttle, delete them. Then select the throttle from the drop down and do the same thing. The left throttle should be assigned to Engine 1 Throttle Axis and the right throttle should be assigned to Engine 2 Throttle Axis. Make sure that the Aileron Axis and Elevator Axis are not assigned in your throttle device settings.

Re: Saitek Rhino X-55
Just to verify:
The P3D setup procedure (which worked in P3Dv2.4) for the Saitek X55 (assign axes/calibrate) should should not have changed from P3Dv2.4 to 2.5, correct?
