Re: dxgi_error_device_hung - Error
I'm not 100% sure this is what actually helped for me, but I had these too, and so far for the last week I haven't had it once. And this is an easy thing to try. I discovered that DDU didn't uninstall nvcuda.dll and some (2 or 3) files around it in windows\system32. I manually deleted these, reinsta...

Re: Dream System
Generally speaking I'm not one for waiting on 'the next best thing' and I always or mostly have the latest and greatest, but if I were to consider building a new system today I would wait a bit for the 9900K to be released….

Re: Throttle Axis Problems
Did you try and see what happens if you disconnect the MFG Pedals ? I know I had to reconfigure some button settings on it (in the MFG software), or my camera would be spinning endlessly (while the hat switch wasn't even detected in P3D).

Re: dxgi error device removed...
I reverted my Nvidia control panel settings, no joy. The only thing that seems to work is indeed go back to an older driver.
However, saying that it's a driver problem and not a P3D problem seems a bit odd to me. After all, none of my other programs/games have any problem at all.

Re: dxgi error device removed...
I'm getting this error too. I have never ever used NI. I did do some tweaks in Nvidia Control panel though, will try to see what happens when I revert them.

Re: I-6700k vs either 8700k or i-9 79XX
I'm not Rob, but I would say no. I've had a 6700K, 7700K, 7900x and now an 8700K... I actually think that things ran best on my 7700K, but I run on 4K so YMMV.

Re: Question about RAM memory
Ye, that requirement doesn't even come close to making sense.
OP, it's likely that your memory runs in dual-channel. So that's 2x1200 = 2400Mhz. Wich should be fine.

Re: Proper RAM selection for P3D V4
You will also want to make use of the Quad channel that the 7900 can use. So use 4 modules, not 2.

Re: Anyone tested P3Dv4 with Core i9-7900X
Well, turned HT off, disabled SVID support and upped the digi+ VRM limit to 140%. Looks ok, temps are lower (makes sense without HT) and pretty stable, fps is up. Still places where I can drop to 45 (like YMMB) but overall I see an increase. My watercooler is just a simple AIO Corsair H110i GTX 280m...

Re: Anyone tested P3Dv4 with Core i9-7900X
That's a cool story, but my GPU is a 1080Ti and not utilised for 100%. I'm on 4K, I'm pretty sure you're not. When I say I'm not impressed I mean I see not much difference in performance. Although I don't really test, I just fly my regular routes, so weather differences might have some impact.

Re: Anyone tested P3Dv4 with Core i9-7900X
Well, I bought one. Still figuring out how to keep it cool. It's running on 4.5 GHz and 1.24 Vcore and while stable I see spikes of 90 degrees. Performance wise so far I'm not impressed (coming from the 7700K @ 4.6 GHz).

Re: Anyone tested P3Dv4 with Core i9-7900X
Meh... I'm still reluctant. My 7700K is running all cores on 4.6Ghz now, and P3D is running 'ok'. I'm kinda worried that I won't get enough cores kicked into turbo mode on a 7900x to match that.... :(

Re: Anyone tested P3Dv4 with Core i9-7900X
Would it be possible to at least also do a test without OC ? I would actually prefer something of a stock baseline over an individuals overclock.

Re: Anyone tested P3Dv4 with Core i9-7900X
Yes, but that's probably because the 1st core is maxed out to 100%. And that is exactly what worries me, since the base clock of the higher range of processors is lower than the 7700K (3.3/3.6 vs 4.3). If the single core clock is the most important, getting more cores won't help much.

Re: Anyone tested P3Dv4 with Core i9-7900X
Any news on this ? I'm currently on an i7-7700K and I would like to have some level of certainty if upgrading to an i9-7900x (or higher even) would have any benefit.
