CloudAhoy and P3d v4.3 and above

Post by RMM Guam »

The forum does not show any posts on this topic.

Foreflight links to P3d v4 via a GPS connection as follows:
In Prepar3D v4, open the Application Options dialog box. Then on the Options menu, click “General” and then click the “Application” tab and Enable “Broadcast GPS data to network”.

I am a student pilot and my new CFI is combining sim based training with real world flight training to save me hours to PPL.

Is anyone here using CloudAhoy and P3d v4.3 and above? Is the above procedure the same for linking CloudAhoy and P3d?

thanks

Thanks..

Basically the same method as I referenced.

Could you or anyone else clearly confirm they are running CloudAhoy in P3d using this method - AND without any glitches or problems?

Sorry to be persistent. Just don't want to get started with the CA trial period only to find by trial and error and many hours of struggle how it is done, but poorly.

Many thanks again.

Thanks. CloudAhoy does seem to imply that they work just like Foreflight via the Broadcast GPS function.

Do you use CloudAhoy with P3d?

Hello...
I switched from P3d over to X-Plane 11 to support real world flight training. P3d with the A2A Cessna 172 just did not have the physics needed for other than normal flight. Stalls were a mess. So I tried X-Plane and added the SimCoders REP addon for the C172. Great result.
That said, I have not seen much need for CloudAhoy in my training. In the past, I thought it was a must have product. But now, not at all convinced that CloudAhoy has much to offer me.
How do you use CloudAhoy? Are you doing real world flight training?
thanks
