Hello Everyone!

My first post here.

So: Let’s just move straight forward as fast as we can ;) :

First of all I really want to congratulate the Prepar3D team here for providing such a great platform and “simming-environment” to us – its users.

Thank You!

Version 1.4 is – in my opinion – the best release from yours so far and as so many others I am really glad to have it available!

And – as so many others here too – I also can’t wait to finally have Version 2 around!

No matter though, when Version 2 will be here exactly, there are some things which I also want to be addressed in this major "update" then – or at least kept in mind and noted for future updates or patches later.

Most or almost all of the things I am looking forward to have been already mentioned here in the forums.

None the less I just want to “through in my 2 cents” here now as well and – by doing so – show my support, as i also want to get as much of it all become reality one day!

– … the sooner the better! ;) :D

One of the best posts here, when it comes down to summarize some – also in my opinion – quite important “future core-FEATURES” for P3D is this one posted here, by KelvinNZ:

… everything mentioned in this post here, gets a “+1” from my side too!

… then:

NEW SNOW and RAIN-EFFECT, as also asked for here:

… and yes:

Vitally discussed already as this post just below here clearly proofs, and yet – so I dare to say: Very much welcome by many of us here:

SLOPED RUNWAYS!

Another “+1” from my side for this feature too!

ATIS:

… no unlimited range, but as pointed out in this thread …:

http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/?mingle ... pic&t=1538

… at or above 10000 Feet an ATIS-range of 100-180NM would be really great! (And I assume overall not that hard to be done)

SELF-SHADOWING, DYNAMIC-LIGHTING and all of that …

As also pointed out for instance here in regards to “Self-Shadowing” …

http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/?mingle ... pic&t=1738

… please, please, please:

This really needs to be addressed and fixed …

It makes me very happy to read that the “shadow-system” will get an “update” in Version 2 as mentioned in the topic just cited here!

Really make it so!

Because – as pointed out within the cited post here already too:

We have 2012 by now, and within today’s virtual environments dynamic shadowing and lighting is nothing special or unique anymore – on the contrary:

It is standard by now so to speak and – even more important:

It is quite vital and essential for a realistic and convincing flightsimulation-environment!

So – another: “+1” here from my side when it comes down to an advancing shadowing and lighting system!

And – indeed – not to be forgotten in a future hopefully not too far away once Version 2 will have been released:

A 64-BIT “update”!

Go for it! ...

Mentioned here as well:

http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/?mingle ... pic&t=1862

…sure, this will be a rather “big change”, but:

Many of us use 64-bit systems by now, so why not taking the best out of it, when it’s actually already here…

There is no need to look back – in fact doing so would be most counterproductive if Prepar3D wants to keep flightsimming alive in the upcoming years and take it into the future so to speak.

So – again another “+1” from my side for a 64-bit update too!

And for now:

Keep up the great work and best regards,

Christoph
