switching to Windows 11 from Windows 10
I have both P3DV4 and P3DV5.4 on my Windows 10 computer. I am thinking of upgrading to Windows 11. What do I need to do to make this a seamless transition with P3D? I certainly hope I don't need to uninstall both P3DV4 and P3DV5.4.

I updated from WIN10 to WIN11 and had no problems with any installed software which included:
XPlane11, P3Dv4, P3Dv5, MSFS2020 and now P3Dv6.
MS will revert you back to version 10 if (after a period of time?) you do not like WIN11.
I stayed with WIN11 and it is recommended by Lockheek Martin for PrePar3D.

Thanks Vaughn. So no need to deactivate and uninstall client?

Hi Greg,
Before upgrading to WIN11 I would suggest:
Suspend your Virus program until you finish the WIN11 upgrade and reboot your PC.
Turn your PC off.
Wait a few minutes.
Turn you PC on.
Check for WIN11 updates.
Start P3D and load its default flight.
Exit P3D.
Reboot your PC.

Upgrading to Windows 11 shouldn't require uninstalling P3DV4 and P3DV5.4. However, it's wise to ensure compatibility by checking for any updates or patches for your flight simulators. Additionally, backing up your simulator files and settings is recommended for a smooth transition.Magic 8 ballGreg Goodavish wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 12:32 am I have both P3DV4 and P3DV5.4 on my Windows 10 computer.
