GTX 980 and P3D V5

Post by HB-JNA »

Hi Guys

My GTX 980 cards don't like the V5, I had only crashes and was really unstable. So I didn't have any choice to unstall and go back to V4.5. Is somebody here which are using GTX 980 for V5 without any problem?

Or is the GTX 980 not enough to fly in V5?

thanks for the feedbacks.

brgds

Massimo,

I use a GTX 960, so your GTX 980 is "good enough".

What problems are you having?

Hi Jorgen

I started the P3D start the flight and had a crash because of the graphic settings.
And my settings were all low low.

I don't know but I couldn't solve this issue.

Are you flying on V5 with a GTX 960?

Yes, I am flying v. 5 HF2.

But also, I have Windows 10 v. 2004, and the latest nVidia drivers. Both are very important.

okay, nice to hear.

and you don't have issue with crashes? are you flying the FSLABS?
How is the performance better?
I was so frustrated that I unstalled, but I don't have to install again the V5 and I have only crashes...

I have no add-ons except a lot - a real lot - of AI, both aircraft and ships, and also FSUIPC.

One of the reasons for that is that v. 5 currently is on a HDD, and within a week or 2 it will be moving to a SSD. After that I am going to install sceneries.

It is absolutely stable, no crashes.

I sent you my Prepar3D.cfg per PM.
