P3DV4.5 HF3 Update Process?

Can someone advise how I install HF3 pls.? Is it a clean full install or client only and do I uninstall everything/client before installing HF3 and will I lose all of my settings? Thanks.

The simple process:

1. Download the HF3 client only.

2. Deactivate and uninstall your present client.

3. Install the HF3 client.

4. Run P3D, reactivate in the process.

That's how I did it, and it works - for me, at least.

Thanks Jorgen, was this based on any official word from Prepar3D about which modules to update? It pobabl;y wont do any harm if I replace all 3 modules I suppose!

You can certainly update them all, if you so desire, this is just how I did it.

Do you see the same version after updating scenery.msi ?
In my case the scebery version still the same as before the update

1. ...there is a pinned topic about the install procedures of P3D... (i'm still amazed how users oversee it...)
2. "Point" updates can be installed component by component (see point 1)
3. How to decide what component you should update? Read the changelog as it is splitted in each component and see if there are major changes or changes you want to have then update only that component - most of the time you will need only the "Client"
4. If you do component installs you:
4.1 Have to first uninstall that particular component
4.2 DO NOT DEACTIVATE YOUR LICENSE (read point 1)

I did update all the components, and i also follow as instructions. The scenery update was completed successfully but the version did not change. Is it supposed to be like that?

It appears there weren't any changes to the scenery:
