Deleting Shaders in P3Dv4

I see a lot of talk on forums about deleting shaders. Is this a safe thing to do, and what benefits, if any, do you get by doing this? I'm hesitant to delete any kind of files, unless I know what the results will be. Thanks.

Yes deleting the Shaders folder is completely harmless and will not effect your Settings or Add On's.

At worst a corrupt Shaders folder can cause Prepar3D not to launch.

In some Instances a corrupt Shaders folder can cause stutters and or low Frame rate
