FPS slumps in p3dv4.1

Post by JuanBari »

Goodnight
I'm having a small problem with the p3dv4.1, At the time of flying any plane I have an average of 60fps, but in moments it comes down sharply at 30 fps, which is noticeable and a lot when moving the camera or watching the outside
Actually I have modified in the Prepard.cfg the following lines
[JOBSCHEDULER]
AffinityMask = 245
[MAIN]
FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION = 0.01
[TERRAIN]
TEXTURE_SIZE_EXP = 9
As added addons I have ORBX (global, vector, oplc south america and lights), PTA, REX 4, ASN and ASCA
I attach a photo of my settings in photos

My specifications regarding the pc are an i7 7700 to 4.0 ghz, gtx 1070 8gb, 16 gb ram ddr4, 2 tb + 250 solid disk
Did any of you happen and could you solve it in some way?
Thank you very much

Hello JuanBari

On the Images you have posted, Maybe move the Shadows settings down a notch or 2

Dynamic Lighting can also be taxing on a system.

Experiment with locking your Frames per second setting, Maybe try 30 or 35, look for Smoothness over FPS.

--------------

Each Add On you have listed have Control Panels for there settings, Look at these Options and Un-Tick what you don't need or use, As these settings will also have an Impact on your performance

Remove all Tweaks from the Prepar3D.cfg file as this will only confuse the situation, Better still Delete the Prepar3D.cfg file and start again, When you launch Prepar3D a default Prepar3D.cfg file will generate again.

Also Delete the Shaders folder locate below and let Prepar3D generate another shaders folder when launched next. This step will not effect any of your Add On's or settings.

Local Disk (C:) ► Users ► You ► AppData ► Local ► Lockheed Martin ► Prepar3D v4 - Shaders

Let us know how you get on
