Re: VERY VERY BAD UPDATE procedures
Well, not really!
But I'm sure, LM will solve the issue with and for you!
You will now be given an option to "deactivate Prepar3D v4 or not "
If you are simply updating the Client, You can choose “No” Your Prepar3D license will stay active, therefore you will not have to reactivate once the update is finished.

Re: VERY VERY BAD UPDATE procedures
Hello
I think you may have Uninstalled the main Prepar3D v4 Application ?
Is this possibly what you done ?
When doing a Client update, You need Only to Uninstall the Client
