Fatal errors

Post by geejeetje »

Since yesterday I get every flight a 'fatal error'. Most time when I'm in descent with a PMDG 737 NGX (after a flight of about 2 hours).
See http://we.tl/QjaS3kjmm4 for the error report.
Can you tell me what is the problem en how can I solve this?

Which version of P3D?

Which version of Windows?

Windows Event Viewer , Name of Module that caused the error?

Some people were having problems with the PMDG 737-600 recently. Here is the thread about that. Definitely take a look at it.

What other add-ons, if any, are you using? Are you getting the fatal error in flights without the PMDG?

Windows 7 Professional
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50 GHz
Nvidia GeForce 355.82 Driver
P3D 2.5.12946.0
Installed add-ons: several airports, FTX, MyTraffic6 (airline=40%, GA=10%), FS2Crew PMDG737 Reboot, GSX, FS Global Real Weather, P3D Fiber Acceleration, PMDG 737, PMDG 777, Aerosoft A318-A319 and A320-A321.
1 Monitor in Use: 1920 x 1080 x 32

@Mike Young, I don't get an OOM-message, only the message 'A fatal error occurred' and then P3D is closed.

Are you using FSUIPC?

Any new aircraft, aircraft repaints or scenery before you started getting the error?

"I just tried another flight (PMDG 777) but I even got a fatal error message during the loading process:"

How about with a default aircraft .. a short test flight ... error?

As a double check on the error name for last few days:

Check your Windows Event viewer to see the Module Name that caused the problem?

Look in your Windows Event Viewer, Windows Logs, Application.

It will tell you which "Module" caused the crash.

The log keeps many days of activity so just scroll down the listing until you see a RED (!) Error.

A short test with a default plane gave no fatal error.

The Windows Event viewer says g2d.dll caused the crash.
In Dutch:

Naam van toepassing met fout: Prepar3D.exe, versie: 2.5.12946.0, tijdstempel: 0x555f2e54
Naam van module met fout: g2d.dll, versie: 2.5.12946.0, tijdstempel: 0x555f2e66
Uitzonderingscode: 0xc0000005
Foutoffset: 0x00005290
Id van proces met fout: 0x1260
Starttijd van toepassing met fout: 0x01d0efdde1775a90
Pad naar toepassing met fout: P:\p3d\Prepar3D.exe
Pad naar module met fout: P:\p3d\g2d.dll
Rapport-id: 0f499aed-5bd2-11e5-85c8-d43d7e4e5cd5

google g2d.dll errors and you get a lot of previous issues with g2d.dll. Try reducing scenery complexity etc. AI percentages.

The scenery complexity and AI percentages never gave problems and I didn´t change them last time, so I can´t imagine that´s the problem. Nevertheless, I reduced them, but without success.

In recent days I have done various tests and looked at the log. All flights with PMDG 737 NGX, GSX, FS2Crew Reboot, FS Global Real Weather and P3D Fiber Accelerator.
All the flights ended in a fatal error. However, the reasons appear to be quite different. The Windows Event Viewer:

Application error:; prepar3d.exe; Module error: ntdll.dll
Application error: prepar3d.exe; Module error: g2d.dll
Application error: prepar3d.exe; Module error: g2d.dll
Application error: couatl.exe; Module error: unknown
Application error: couatl.exe; Module error: couatl.exe
Application error: couatl.exe; Module error: unknown
Application error: prepar3d.exe; Module error: MSVCR100.dll
Application error: prepar3d.exe; Module error: MSVCR100.dll
Application error: prepar3d.exe; Module error: weather.dll
Application error: couatl.exe; Module error: unknown
Application error: couatl.exe; Module error: unknown
Application error: prepar3d.exe; Module error: MSVCR100.dll
Application error: prepar3d.exe; Module error: g2d.dll
Application error: prepar3d.exe; Module error: g2d.dll

Any suggestions?
