Hello folks,

still I face sometimes CTDs during flight, sometimes even PC shut-downs, and the investigation is still fruitless.

1. Regarding the PC shut-downs, Microsoft advise to run c:\sfc /scannow as administrator; often errors found and fixed.
Does anybody know what damages the files in question? (Please, I know that nothing is forever etc. but the high number of findings to fix makes me think that these files are actively damaged, and not by a neutrino hitting my disks in an unfortunate location...)

2. CPU and graphic card temperatures were questioned, but 56°C are no problem, I assume.

3. Checking the RAM is advised, nothing is found, so...

4. I checked the versions of the p3dv5 components and remembered and found that the last update 5.3.17.28160 was mainly for the client. Content and scenery I have in 5.3.15.28131. Is this an issue to be fixed (uninstalling both and re-install with install_content.msi and install_scenery.msi), because of the mismach?

5. If yes, will my add-on scenery be gone, and I have to re-install them as well again? (Would take some time...)

Prepar3D version
- 5.3.17.28160, but content & scenery 5.3.15.28131?!
- Do you have an answer to my questions, if I should update content & scenery as well?

Operating system
- Windows 10 v 22H2

All add-ons installed (applications, scenery, vehicles, etc.)
- Loads of ORBX and other airport, but CTD or PC shut down also happen in the middle of the pond, where for sure no add-on scenery is active,
- Loads of Rikkoooo, Imagine Sim (KATL, KLGA, WSSS), 29 Palms (EDDF, EDDB)
- PMDGs complete combo of 737, 747, 777.
- FSLabs A320
- GSX
- Active Sky
- fsuipc
- Immersion
- PACX

Hardware (graphics card, CPU, RAM, displays, etc.)
- i7 8700K 12MB 3.7G. MSI Z370 Tomahawk. DDR4 16G. SSD 500G M.2. MSI RTX2080 DUKE 8G

GPU driver version
- NVidea 526.86 since yesterday, before 522.25 and others.

Changes made to your system – overclocking, graphics accelerators (NVIDIA Inspector), debuggers
- No OC; graphics inspector yes, yes not I don't use it actively, no debuggers (except sfc /scannow by and then, which often finds something to fix).

Changes to the default Prepar3D's settings or configuration files
- Well, EA is off meanwhile, volumetric fog as well.

Crash logs or error messages
- This would be nice in case of the PC shut downs.
- CTD e.g.

That is MS Office.

I have seen the Office error / issue previously reported in this forum.

Is your Office an older Office product / version?

I have an MS365 Office Subscription, WIN11 22H2 no problems.

When did the problem first appear e.g., after P3D5? or P3D5HF1? or P3D5HF2?

I do not use these so I cannot comment:
Rikkoooo products

PACX


I do not do surface scans on SS drives.

I also have different mixed P3Dv5 Components, Content and Scenery.
