3 not 4 Program Icons in Windows Control Panel

Post by gulfstreamtwo »

To update from P3Dv4.4 to v4.5, I faithfully followed the directions in Poppet's excellent tutorial. I elected to do a full R&R, and at the beginning of the process, I had four programs (sub-programs?) showing in the Control Panel/Programs and Features page; Prepar3D v4 Academic, Prepar3D v4 Academic Client, Prepar3D v4 Content, and Prepar3D v4 Scenery. I uninstalled in sequence (Scenery -> Content -> Client). Upon reinstalling to v4.5, I now only have three Prepar3D v4 icons in the Programs and Features screen. The Prepar3D Academic (but not Academic Client) is missing. P3D opens and runs fine as is.

Question: Is this an issue and if so, what do I do to fix it?
