Cannot install after disk crash

Yesterday my disk crashed containing the P3d installation, version 4

Now I'm trying to reinstall on another disk (different letter G:\ instead of E:\) but the installer seems to think that P3D is still installed or so.

I followed the suggestions in the FAQ to delete the files:
%PROGRAMDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4
%APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Files

Now when I start Setup_Prepar3D.exe
only Direct X gets installed, not P3D.

Do you have a solution for my problem?

Hello,

Have you checked the Control Panel for any listing of Prepar3D?

Is Prepar3D listed in the Program Files folder on your harddrive?

Does running the installer result in an error?

Hello,

There are no mentions of Prepar3d in the locations you mention.
Furthermore, I did a complete sweep of all my hard drives and there Prepar3d is found on nowhere.
The installer runs without errors, but only installs direct X. If I then run the installer again, it asks to repair or uninstall, if I choose either it will then uninstall something (probably direct X, but not sure) and on the next run it will then install direct X again, but nothing further.

BTW: I'm running Windows 10

Have you compared the md5 checksums on your download to the ones listed on our downloads page to make sure they match?

As this was not very helpful, I decided to ultima ratio re-install windows and all the rest.

This of course helped.
