Doing step 2 solves the problem, it is an add-on that is causing the issue as far as I can tell.
2) Remove the Prepar3D generated folders that is generated during the program execution

I can get P3D up and running in default however is there a procedure I can use to determine which add-on is causing P3D to hang on the launch screen?
The program worked well last night, this morning it won't start. Is there a way to determine which add-on is causing the issue?
[RESOLVED] P3D V4.3 hanging on splash screen
Re: P3D V4.3 hanging on splash screen
Hello alexd
If you have removed the generated files and now Prepar3D launch's ok ?
Well then you would Install 1 Add On at a time and then launch Prepar3D and test.
-----
If you have Installed many Add On's and now Prepar3D wont launch ?
You will need to disable 1 Add On at a time and then test Prepar3D to locate the problem Add On.
-----
Are you using Prepar3D v4 compatible only Add Ons ?
What Add Ons do you have currently Installed ?
Let us know how you get on

Re: P3D V4.3 hanging on splash screen
The "Step 3" procedure seems to have resolved the problem. I had a good launch of default P3D, so I reinserted the 2 folders back in place and everything seems to be OK again. Thankyou.
For addon I have PMDG 777, Active Sky, and Orbx base/vector/PNW.
