[RESOLVED] Question about Reinstalling Prepar3D v4

Post by skip d »

Every time I select one of the few payware or freeware aircraft I get a crash alert.
On the list of Programs in Control Panel I found P3dv4 Academic and tried to repair it.
When ver.4.3 came out....I apparently botched the install from 4.2.
I'm about to do a complete re-install....but afraid of losing the few add ons that I have.
How can they be saved ??
I explored the Lorby Organiser....but it's far too complicated for me.
Any help would be appreciated !!

Hello Skip

Does this crash happen when choosing a default plane ?

Maybe Uninstall the Add on Aircraft, Then Install them back one at a time and launch Prepar3D and test after each one.

Ensure you only Install Prepar3D v4 compatibly Add Ons

Let us know how you get on

Hiya Bobbit....
I've uploaded 4 images to show you what's happening when I attempt to work with my P3D.
I've read the post on "How to display Screenshots" but I'm not having any luck loading them here.
Is there a specific way to get all 4 of them onto this page ???
I'm using IMGBB to upload...which I have done successfully.

Hello Skip

Ensure you remove all of the Prepar3D files and folders, The Uninstall process will not do this, For a clean uninstall you will need to manually remove these files.

Please see the Topic below for a guide to Uninstall Prepar3D v4
