Ran the installer as admin and installer says it installed, but no files are found in windows explorer, no desktop icon. Any ideas? Thanks!

Did you install over a previous version of P3D?

I had it installed before, but ran the uninstaller and deleted the folders as stated under support FAQ.

Which version of Windows are you using?

Which installer file (name) did you use?

Hi Steve,

Hopefully you have a backup copy of the fisrt version that you have tried to remove.
If you do have this installer backed-up, run it and you should see an Uninstall option.

I have tried everything and I don't have the backed up installer from the old version which was from a year or two ago.

Have you tried to remove the registry entry manually? If you're familiar with regedit. the location is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\LockheedMartin\Prepar3D v2

So removing that should work after restarting computer?

Saul, sorry for the delayed response. Deleted that key, ran chkdsk /F C:. Installed and runs great, thanks! Solved!
