Multiplayer shared cockpit

Post by maggsy »

Multiplayer shared cockpit Issues
Having previously been able to use the shared cockpit in FSX, both as host and client.
We have been unable to use the multiplayer shared cockpit in Prepar3d v4.

We can successfully use the shared cockpit in one direction, player A being the host and player B joining and executing a successful transfer of control back and forth with no issues, our issues arise when player B hosts and A joins, the connection appears to be successful yet there is no movement of controls performed by the host visible in players A's sim no data appears to be send from the host to the client, transfer of control is not apparent. although we have noticed that if the client adjusts the radio, DME and transponder the results ARE seen in the host cockpit but there is no change in the client although he is changing the numerals.
All settings are setup identically to host and to join by both parties, antivirus, firewalls and router ports are all configured or turned off as required
We have port forwarding for
TCP/UDP 6112-6122
27001-27030

all scenery, aircraft, location are synchronised, any help would be appreciated, as we have exhausted all our ideas.

Hi Maggsy,

Are player A and B the only clients in the multiplayer session? When you say host, do you mean the host of the multiplayer session or the owner of the shared aircraft?

Thanks.

Yes both A and B are only clients of a multiplayer session
And yes by host I mean the owner of the target aircraft and the originator of the session
Many thanks for any help and advice in advance
