NVlink compared to SLI?

Is it as for now possible to state what improvements NVlink brigns compared to SLI? Or are there anyway too many variables involved to single it out??

If you want the long story short version, NVlink is technically better in almost every statistical category to SLI.

Once all the other technology can catch up, you'll be able to feel it more in performance rather than just marginally at this point.
