Acceleration and deceleration effects

Post by sbssim »

During accelerating the nose comes up way too much, cannot see the runway anymore.
During deceleration the nose dips way to far down.
Where in P3Dv4 can this be corrected and how ?

@ sbssim ,

Nothing to fix.
You just use the Yoke / Joystick to control Pitch during takeoff and landing/approach.

It seems you misunderstand the situation. It happens only on the ground during taxing and the takeoff run as well as after landing.
I remember from an earlier version that there is something in the programming itself that need to be adjusted. That was about 5 years ago and I lost the email that I received where to go in the progran and to reduce some zerows. Does this make any sense?

in prepar3d.cfg C:\Users\YOUR_ID\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5 or V4

[DynamicHeadMovement]
LonAccelOnHeadLon=-0.020000
LonAccelOnHeadPitch=-0.010000
RollAccelOnHeadLat=0.010000
YawAccelOnHeadLat=-0.100000
RollAccelOnHeadRoll=0.100000
MaxHeadAngle=5.000000
MaxHeadOffset=0.300000
HeadMoveTimeConstant=1.000000

change these values or make them all 0 to remove all movement...

@ sbssim ,

" It happens only on the ground during taxing and the takeoff run as well as after landing."

You could have mentioned that in the first post.

Which aircraft?

There's no need to go through the de-bugging steps as the effect is as intended. Aeronauta is correct about adjusting the dynamicheadmovement numbers. I've changed all of mine to zeros. You will still get some movement from the accel/decel of the aircraft.

I do not know if the effect the Op is reporting is the P3Dv4 “effect as intended” or not.

From the OP's first post it sounded like all of a sudden something was wrong with a normal P3Dv4 install.

In a case like that it could be another Add-on causing a problem.

If the suggested cfg edit ( aeronauta ) gave the OP good results then he would naturally not need to even consider doing the Debugging Steps I mentioned in the next post.

But if needed, the debugging steps would supply all the additional needed information about his setup.

Notes:
I do not edit anything in the CFG file.
Easy to forget what was edited/changed since the last P3D install.
I just enable / disable / adjust sliders as needed in the P3D Options.
