Wind problem

Post by axel ceder »

Hello! when I fly and will land at an airport eg Arlanda the flight tower says I should land on runway 01L. Then when I test another weather theme, there are exactly the same. I also have Orbx weather theme installed. I also try to do user-defined weather and try to change the winds but it does not work. This is how it is at all airports.

Previously I used Fsx-se and then I could use different runways depending on which weather theme I chose, and it is the same weather theme as in fsx-se.

Is there anyone who could help me with this?

Sincerely Axel

Axel,

Are you using Orbx ESSA with the Orbx weather?

Are you flying with the default LM ATC?

Not all airports have all runways available for Takeoff and Landing.

Yes, I'm using Orbx essa
No thats true, but all airport have the same runway direction when take off and landning.

Yes I'm using LM ATC.

For example, the atc just give me clears to land or start on runway 01L / R or 08 at Arlanda. Not 19 no matter what direction the wind has.

This is the same for every airport. The airport that have runways from south-north, the south end is always the landning/take off part.
Airport that have runways from East-west, the west part of the runway is always the landning/take off part

Sincerely Axel :)

Axel,

I checked Orbx ESSA and as far as I can tell they have it set up that way as you discovered.

As a quick test contact Orbx Forum Support and ask the question.

Yes, you have now confirmed that not "all" default airports have limited landing runways.

"how i can solve the problem whit Essa?"
As I previously mentioned, contact Orbx (forum) Support .

This is probably by design. The Jeppesen ESSA General Briefing (10-1P1) gives as a restriction to large aircraft: RWY01L/19R will be used for take-off and landing.

What was the solution so other pilots can have the same takeoffs?

Can you now takeoff from runway 26?

Was the solution provided by Orbx ?

As far as I can tell from the German section of the Orbx P3D forum;

One user has modified the Orbx ESSA Afcad using ADE and made available his edited copy.
The edited copy updates runways Takeoff/Landing
I did not see an answer or solution from Orbx.
