FPS "Bleeding Off" On Long Flights

Post by brianmac60 »

Hello all,

I recently installed P3Dv4.3 and have been pretty happy with it's performance. I can keep my sliders pretty much maxed out and still maintain a steady 30-45 fps in most situations. Occasionally during long flights at high altitudes and ususally over flat terrain, the frames will bottom out to 3-5. Moving the sliders has no effect on this. When I restart the sim, everything is back to normal. The odd thing is that it doesn't always happen. I'm primarily flying the Carenado CJ2 and the Xtreme Lear 25 and it happens with both. This isn't a deal breaker but more of a curiosity at this point since I'm still figuring out P3D. I'd welcome any suggestions, comments, etc... Thanks!

Brian

With a fresh install of P3D.
Leaving P3D in a default state.
No add-ons.
No scenery etc.
No options or sliders changed.
No add-on traffic etc.
Test flights with default P3D jet.
If all ok.
Add the CJ2.
Test flights.
Results?
