[RESOLVED] Top-down view problems

Post by geejeetje »

Since a few days it is as if I use the top-down view (F12), I see a strange view. See https://we.tl/JwcJ5mVb1n for an example.
This happens all over the world, so not a specific airport or area.
How can I solve this problem?

My specs:
Windows 7 Professional
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50 GHz
Nvidia GeForce 368.39 Driver
P3D 3.3.5.17625
Installed add-ons: several airports, FTX
P3D Fiber Acceleration
PMDG 737, PMDG 777, Aerosoft A318-A319 and A320-A321.
1 Monitor in Use: 1920 x 1080 x 32

It looks like your scenery install might be in a bad state. The engine generates textures for the terrain near the camera. The base low-res texture for the rest of the world has been pre-generated and it loads in by reading the texture directly from the bgl. Perhaps one of your add-ons has replaced or modified the bgl files that contain the base globe textures and the files got corrupted or lost. That or the scenery config has issues.

- If you remove or rename your scenery.cfg, it will be regenerated. (may break installed scenery add-ons)
- Uninstall your scenery add-ons. If the problem goes away re-install one a at time and see which is causing the issue
- Uninstall and re-install the Prepar3D scenery. It should replace/fix any missing files. (may break installed scenery add-ons)

Thanks. Re-installing Prepar3D scenery solved the problem.
