Default Edwards AFB Static F-16s and Hangars Are Transparent

Post by jetpilot1980 »

I noticed that at certain angles the default static F-16s and Hangars on the west end of KEDW are transparent and almost invisible and the F-16s are really rough looking the internal components are visible through the upper fuselage.

Can someone please look into this? Thanks

Is this a default P3D install?

Are you using freeware / payware scenery to add static aircraft?

As stated this is default... No addons ect.. and frankly if I had the choice I would delete most of these static aircraft as these and the static B-1s look like tinker toys / cr@p... But when I loaded the default airport in ADE it shows these F-16s and the hangar behind them are a single scenery object...

Your "drive by" does not look "ok" to me... Look in the upper left hand corner of your photo the hangar wall / roof is missing / see through; and the static F-16 inside the hangar is sunk into the ground...

Just to make it obvious here is your photo where have circled the issues...

Also here are a couple more photos of the issue...

Thanks for circling the areas to look at.

I had a look at P3Dv4.5HF3.

So I would say at this point you have further proven my point for me...

Whatever the issue is, it seems to be something in this case particular to these two objects MB F West 03, GUID 805ce49d-a8c1-4c0f-aecf-6a00c0246c86 and MB F West 04, GUID a4d2790b-627a-4e80-bc0c-dcad573a2f36; as the static F-16s on the east side near the tower seem fine (inside elongated hangar and the one associated with the MB F Firing Range object, and this issue was not present in 4.5HF3 so this is a V5 issue... My thought is that these are probably the same stock objects that were originally made by MS for FS2004/FSX/ESP that have been carried forward all the way through the various versions of Prepar3d and this may be related to the scenery compatibility issue I mentioned in my other thread of V5 not properly showing objects that worked fine in V4.5...
