P3D V4.5 Scenario “Change Location” Problem

Post by m16881234 »

Hi,

I'm having trouble to move around my aircraft in "Change Location...". The default of LAT/LONG is displayed in degree, minute, second. However, the "OK" button turns grey after I dragged the aircraft icon.

I found out that it only takes LAT/LONG in degree decimal, which is weird since the updated LAT/LONG after dragging the aircraft icon is expressed in degree, minute, second.

Is there a way to change the P3D configuration so that it takes the LAT/LONG in degree, minute, second?

Thanks!

@ m16881234 ,

Ok, I see the Change Location button on the opening scenario screen.

I have not seen a way to change the default setting for Lat/Lon for data entry.

I searched and found this information:

in FSX it was

[Main}
LatLonFormat=Degrees
FractionalLatLonDigits=6"

Result:

Will need to test/search further.

I did a quick test and it changed the lat/lon format in the Change Location / Map.

Thanks for your reply!

I might not have addressed my problem properly. The default for LAT/LONG in the input area is expressed in degrees, minutes, seconds, which is what I want it. But the "OK" button is grey unless I change the input area into degree decimal. I just want to be able to click "OK" with degrees, minutes, seconds as they are.

I try to add in these on Prepar3D.cfg file, but it doesn't work.

[Main]
LatLonFormat=Degrees, Minutes, Seconds

This is what mine looks like.

@ m16881234 ,

How to Post Screenshots (by Chris Metel):

I changed the default location and all ok on my setup.

Maybe do several screenshots or a video showing what your initial Map looks like when you start the sim and then your edits.
