P3DV5.2 Frames

Post by Dieter K »

Hi there,

after changing to 5.2 (client-content-scenery) i get only 10 frames.
With 5.1 HF3 i had at the same machine more than 30.
New shaders - new Config - what´s to do to get the frames back???

Thanks for helping

greetings
Dieter

@ Dieter K,

Are you testing P3D in a default configuration without any Add-ons?

@ Dieter K,

Are your Add-ons all updated and approved for P3Dv5.2 already?

Note:
Initial testing with a new P3D version should be done with P3D in a default (no Add-ons) state.

Is your PC ready for P3Dv5.2?

@ Dieter K,

Your topic title is about P3Dv5.2
Why did you mention 5.1 ?

Glad to learn you get 30 FPS with P3D default flight. I have my FPS locked at 29 and I get 29.

Note:
"the majestic dash is ready for 5.2!!"
I also have majestic dash 8
Where did you see that announcement?

Sorry - i compared my settings with the former settings in P3DV5.1 this morning.
I read in the majestic forums that theres no problem with the dash 8 in P3DV5.2

In P3D version 5.2 options settings i have fps locked at 30 frames and i get this rate at normal startup

why don't you believe my performances

@ Dieter K ,
I do believe your performances.
I mentioned : Glad to learn you get 30 FPS with P3D default flight. I have my FPS locked at 29 and I get 29.
Nothing wrong with that.

If you have other performance problems with Add-on products you need to ask in their Support forums?

"I read in the majestic forums that theres no problem with the dash 8 in P3DV5.2"
Was that a Dash 8 user or from the Developers as an announcement / approval?

Sorry I'm no longer having fun in this forum. If you don't want to help then I prefer to do without P3D

Sorry ,
I have normally submitted a support request and expect help and no allegations.
I have been a customer since 2013 and have just been disappointed

No more P3D

Dieter, you must realize that the guy talking to you is not related in any way to Lockheed Martin. Maybe he was thinking that he was helping you with his comments and questions.

But you must not take him for P3D.

Hi Dieter,

You are not the first to report a FPS loss after switching from v5.1 to v5.2.
In case you haven't done it already, you could try to follow the respective threads to find out whether someone else has found a solution.
For me this reported loss of performance is the reason that I hesitate to follow to v5.2, still staying with v5.1, which works without prioblems (except, some EA oddities, of course...)

Don't throw away P3D too frivolously.
