Blurred flight deck P3D V5.1 HF1

Post by Joetsa »

Hello everybody.
I need help with a problem that has arisen in all the airplanes that I have installed (PMDG, AEROSOFT, TFDI, QW ...).

In the flight deck, the various panels (FMC, MCP, RADIO, OVERHEAD ...) are blurred. I do not know what could have changed this, before you can see perfectly.
I put some photographs. They are from the PMDG 737 NGXu but the same thing happens with the rest of the aircraft.

Regards, and thank you very much.

@ Joetsa ,

Could you do a screenshot of the problem on the P3D F-35A?

Could you also list your system specs including monitor(s) in use?

Hello again.

This is my PC:

Intel Core i7-9700K @ 4.9Ghz.
Asus Rog Strix Z390-F Gaming.
Kingston HyperX Predator DDR4 3000 PC4-24000 32GB 4x8GB CL15.
Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 OC SUPER 8GB GDDR6.
CM LC240E (R. líquida).
Kingston ssd sv300 2.5 240gb sata3 (P3D V5.1HF1).
Kingston A2000 M.2 250GB PCI Express 3.0 NVMe (S.O.W1064PRO).
WD Blue 3D Nand SSD SATA 1TB (X-Plane 11.53r1).
Seagate BarraCuda 3.5" 1TB SATA3.
EVGA Supernova G3 850W 80 Plus Gold Modular.
Sharkoon SKILLER SGC1.

Monitor:
Samsung J6300 32” Curved.

Right now I can't take the photos. But they look the same as in the PMDG. The flight displays look perfect (PD, ND, EICAS…). Everything changes with the MCP, especially. As soon as I can, I'll send the photos.

Regards, and thank you very much.

@ Joetsa ,

You are welcome

“As soon as I can, I'll send the photos. “

Ok, sounds good.

Just for iformation: You are the second user reporting a problem and using using this overclocked card:
“Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 OC SUPER 8GB GDDR6.”

Which OS version and Build in your setup?

Which graphics driver / version ?

Which Add-ons are in use other than previously mentioned "PMDG, AEROSOFT, TFDI, QW ...)."?

Good morning, Martyson. Thank you for your interest and answer so quickly.

I've tried testing the F-35 on several occasions and the error won't reproduce (damn Murphy's Law!).

Nvidia's version is 466.27. With this version I have not found any problem, not as with the previous two.

I use different addons:
ActiveSky P3D, with ASCA.
ORBX OpenLC Europe, North America, Australia. Chaseplane. And many airports from different developers ... The sky, clouds, terrain and other textures look great! This problem usually occurs after a flight time, not immediately.
Thanks again.

P. D .: I've been investigated, heh, heh. Could it be a problem with the shadows in the cabin? I'm going to test it, raising and lowering its resolution. OPAQUE_SHADOW_TEXTURE_SIZE
TRANSLUCENT_SHADOW_TEXTURE_SIZE
I have changed these values. Could this be the problem?

@ Joetsa ,

Do you have a home built PC or a name brand store purchased PC?

You mentioned:
"Nvidia's version is 466.27. With this version I have not found any problem, not as with the previous two. "

Just to verify what that means?

Is this topic (blurred) resolved with 466.27?

Hello again.

It is a home built PC.

The two previous versions of Nvidia were not compatible with P3D V5. There are several posts in this forum that talk about it. And no, these problems have not been fixed.

In reference to the post you sent earlier, it is not the same graphics card. Mine is an RTX 2080 SUPER and that of the other user is an RTX 3080. And that OC that comes with the characteristics of the graphics card means that the manufacturer offers it a small factory overclock. It does not jeopardize either the card or its performance.

Right now I'm doing a flight with the PMDG 739, KSEA-KATL, and it looks perfect.
Before the flight I have generated a new .CFG file and I have left the shadows (which I have mentioned in the previous answer) by default. It goes perfect. In case this information is of any use to you.

Greetings and thank you.

@ Joetsa ,

You are correct.
I should have said :
Just for information: You are the second user reporting a problem and using using this brand name "overclocked" card:
ASUS ROG STRIX OC

Sorry about my error. I knew the card was overclocked when you received it.

Yes, I am very much aware of the previous Nvidia driver version errors / cannot start P3D etc. and many forum posts in topics.

Glad to hear your current flight is going well.

You mentioned:
"Before the flight I have generated a new .CFG file "
Which cfg file ?

Hello!!
Please, you don't have to apologize for anything.

I mean the .CFG file found inside Local Disk (C :) ► Users ► You ► AppData ► Roaming ► Lockheed Martin ► Prepar3D V5 - Prepar3D.cfg.

I just landed and everything went perfect. I will continue to fly with the current configuration. If I see that everything is still great, I will assume that it has been the modification of the shadows in the aforementioned CFG file.

Again, thank you very much.
