VRAM Question

Post by Lude2Envy »

I have a GTX 1080Ti with 11GB of VRAM but P3D says 6.4 out of 9.2 is being used. Why does it only utilize 9.2 out of the full 11? I have v5 HF1 installed. Thanks.

Windows 10 takes up a certain allotment of your total 11 GB.

1.8GB to run in the background seems like a lot.

You will have to ask Microsoft about that one.

Some users are reporting that Win10 2004 reserves less VRAM for the OS. It appears that windows currently uses a % of your total VRAM rather than a fixed size. It will also vary depending on what applications you are running. If you were to launch a game int he background for example, you'd see the budget in P3D go down.
