[RESOLVED] See-Through Airplanes

Post by BlueYonder »

What do I do when this happens? I've seen some really old posts with similar pictures, but never a fix. Hopefully the fix is NOT to reinstall P3D... Using V4.2.

Ok, going to try this... Sounds like the same issue...
Hi, I downloaded some freeware airplanes off simviation web site, the first two were fine but the next few were missing outside graphics, and now all my planes are, even the ones that came with the sim if you pan around parts of the planes will disappear then reappear, I can see the seats through the plane wall. I removed the freeware and uninstalled the game and downloaded and installed a full install of 4.1, and the planes on the sim are still doing the same thing, can anyone help with this. Downloading the freeware messed my whole sim up.
Hello,

Try deleting the following folders:

%PROGRAMDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4
%APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4

These aircraft may not be compatible with v4. I recommend contacting these developers to see if there is an updated version available.

Hi Rob,

The F-16 is what was shipped with P3D. The T-38 is the advanced version from MilViz. Both are V4 compatible.

I did not find the P3Dv4 F16 paint in your screenshot (missiles on wintip)?

I did not see the problem you reported on a quick test just now.

We followed Kayla's advice and deleted the folders. Fixed it.

Thanks for the follow up. For future reference, you can also run the "Deleted Generated Files" shortcut in your Prepar3D directory to deleted those folders as well.
