Memory Leak V5 HF1 - TFDI

Post by Pacificpilot777 »

Not sure if this is P3D thing or TFDI thing but there is a pretty big memory leak with VRAM. Went from 5.9GB of VRAM to 6.9 in 15 minutes and a CTD while setting the aircraft up. Using V5 Beta of the TFDI 717. Just wanted to put a heads up in case this is a P3D issue.

Ryzen 7 3800X
RX 5700XT
16GB RAM
B450 Tomahawk Max
Windows 10 build 2004

since TFDI B717 is not yet compatible with P3Dv5 (even though you obviously got it installed) seems to be the actual issue. Stop using products in sims which they were not designed for. There is a difference between how things are loaded in DX11 and DX12 and that could be why your getting those issues.

The solution? Wait until they update it.

It is updated and compatible. They have an open beta going on right now.

I've done some further testing throughout the day. It is only isolated to the TFDI 717. Could not replicate the leak with default or PMDG 747.

You previously mentioned "They have an open beta going on right now."

It would be good to mention your findings to the TFDI 717 beta team.

Thanks for the feedback that your test with the default P3D / aircraft checked out ok.

so obviously a 717 issue... no P3D. You are likely to get the right support in the right forums.
