Launching P3D V5 Main windows pops then disappear

Post by Maraudeur »

Hello,
I just bought P3D V5 Academic License. Installation goes fine, as well as for the registration.
I launch Prepar 3D, everything seems to be fine untill the main window appears.
It stands for a couple of seconds, unable to click on any button, and then disappear, killing the P3D process.
I've already tryed the solution to run it as administrator with no different result.

My hardware installation : Windows 10 x64 / Intel Core I5-8600k / GeForce RTX 2060 / 32Go DDR4 and plenty of space on my SSDs

Here is a screenshot of the aspect of the main window before shutdown :

Simdirector has the same behavior, shutting down before being usable.
Thank you for helping me

@ Maraudeur ,

The default location for the default flight is incorrect.
The F-35A image is not shown on that opening screen.

Just to verify :Have you installed any Add-ons or made any P3D Option changes to files inside P3D folders?

Or is P3D still in a default state right now?

Which Nvidia Driver version (number)?

Thank you for your reply.

I just installed P3D from the shelves, with no add-on or any extension. I just changed the default installation directory in order to install P3D on a disk with a large free space remaining.
I Always use the latest NVidia drivers (I could tell you the version number later).

You are welcome.

You mentioned:

Ok, no problem. Later is fine.

I have the 465.89 version installed.(ok, shame on me, I missed the real latest that is now 466.47)
Sorry for being late to answer, as it's 11PM here in LFOT (France). I guess your're in early afternoon in Detroit?

I really appreciate the reactivity of this forum. I hope I will soon be able to launch and use P3D.

@ Maraudeur ,

That 465.89 is a Bad Driver.

Download the newest driver 466.47 and install it.
Then reboot PC and test P3D again.
