CREATING GUID

Post by mauro vaccari »

hi everybody,

my name is mauro from italy and i'm new here,
after installing on pc P3D v3 SDK to create models with 3dsMax 2011, everything is working, seems...
the only SDK for 3dsMax and MS FSX working, up to now!

after creating a simple box mapped with UVW mapping, is not possible to get valid GUID:

"broken guid or broken friendly name", is the result...
.Xguid undefined
.Xfriendly name undefined

while, the max ones are shown.

do anybody know any solution to this problem?

thanks in advance

Are you exporting as a P3D .mdl or .x file?
Have you installed the SDK into max? You need to create a GUID and enter a friendly name, then export as the right type of file.

Thanks for reply.
I'm trying to create .x file as it shuold.

Sdk is showing correctly all its new windows inside max.

But, both friendly name and guid sdk is generating, are wrong, broken :(

The box i'm using for test is plain, just created and converted to poly

I will fail to export without a valid material applied.
Sometimes .x fail from blender, if export as mdl option is available use that.

Thanks.
I'll try.
But, material is wrapped with max.
Neither .bmp neither .dds work.
Exporting from max 2011 to blender 2.79 and exporting .x file, works.
Also .mdl is created...
I need to become familiar with blender...
