SimConnect Major Failure - Win 10 Build 2004

Post by EllipticCurve »

Hi,

We seem to have found a major failure of the SimConnect functionality on multiple installations of P3D (4.5, 5.0) on Windows 10 Build 2004, both Pro and Enterprise.

The sim is running correctly, EXCEPT for the apparent failure of SimConnect.

The module is loading correctly, but the SimConnect function (SimConnect.Open()) is returning HRESULT 80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE - No such interface supported).

The only common factor on all these systems is they are running Windows 10 Build 2004.

Is this a known issue? It is a critical problem, and appears it will affect many installations of Build 2004.

I guess no-one knows?

I tried a clean install on my dev machine, and it is working fine, so I'm unsure why two systems with clean installs (installed from 2004 ISO) are not working.

Running Win10 2004 and no issues with SimConnect here ... I did have a problem with SimConnect when I had a SimConnect.cfg file in my documents folder on the main PC (not network PC). Removed the SimConnect.cfg and all was good.

My only other suggestion is to check that Win 10 hasn't blocked access (security).

Cheers, Rob.
