Anti Aliaising Scenario Window

Post by T REX2018 »

The aircraft in y preview window has always been jaggy, no anti aliasing. Otherwise, sim runs great. Does anyone know if this is normal?

Can you do a screenshot of the LM F22 preview showing the problem?

I took a quick look.
Note: I am normally on the preview screen for just a few seconds to verify my selection.

was this issue ever remedied?

I suffer from the same poor rendering problem in preview window. The other day I saw some P3D video where the preview window was rendered correctly..lost that link however...

Any ideas how to make it render correctly?

Forgot to mention, running also latest v4.

Thanks.

Hello,

I have a screenshot however cant upload here I guess..
Link is here though, not sure if it will load though:
https://uloz.to/file/74wFaMvYCY2B/p3d-p ... c3FwH0Zj==

but, looks just like the pics above. Jagged rough image of vehicle on gray. When loading it takes a while, a second or two, to render the vehicle preview...

I run older i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz, 16GB RAM, Windows 10 Pro 21H1, and equally older GeForce 660Ti 2GB RAM, on 2TB WD Blue HDD... screen resolution 1920x1200. Sim is Prepar3D_v4_Academic_4.5.14.34698, runs fine.

Thanks for help.

@ DavidL25210 ,

That is what my preview looks like.

What does the aircraft look like after loading the default flight?

This is what I see:

Martyson,

thx for help with that btw...

well, here is mine:

thats windowed, however full screen looks the same.

I have that AA issue only in that image preview window, I know its not such a big issue, but still. Why preview window is without AA or 3D acceleration in that matter....

I'll post screenshot how the planes look like when they load in preview window too. Crappy.

Martyson,

here the plane in preview window when loading. Takes about a second until textures load... Really, look like no hardware acceleration in preview window at all. How to fix it?

@ DavidL25210 ,

You mentioned:
“I have that AA issue only in that image preview window, I know its not such a big issue, but still. Why preview window is without AA or 3D acceleration in that matter....”

As far as I know there are no updates planned for the older P3Dv4 version.

no updates anymore for v4? That's regrettable... such a fine simulator.

Well, not big deal, thanks anyway.
