KLGA Rwy4

Post by Chigley »

Is it the P3D scenery at KLGA Rwy4 approach that has a tall building directly in the glide slope 100ft from touchdown that is alarming as you fly through it. I can't work out if it is P3D or DD.

@ Chigley ,

Which P3D version are you using?

You could check with Airport Desigh Editor.

With P3D v. 5.2 and DD's latest New Your City and New York Airports, there are a couple of buildings close to the glideslope approaching KLGA's Rwy 04, but I see nothing like you describe here.

With Drzewiecki Design's NYC Airports I do see an an overly tall building right before Runway 4. It can be eliminated if you set Autogen Building to sparse. That or use the default P3D scenery. It doesn't look like the real building but at least it is shorter. If the DD building was changed or removed, it would look more realistic.

This video (advanced to the Runway 4 final approach) suggests the building looks more like DD's but should be way shorter.
