Hello!
Please see http://prepar3d.com/news/2015/02/98935/ for detailed information.
It is recommended that you uninstall v2.4 before installing v2.5. Additionally, if you have any issues running v2.5 it is recommend that you clear all files found in the following folders:
%PROGRAMDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2
%APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Prepar3D v2 Files
Note: Due to changes to the installation folder structure, Prepar3D v2.5 will not be released in an installer patch form. Please see the included Learning Center.chm for more information.
Many suggestions and comments written on this forum have directly influenced the development of v2.5. Thank you for your support and we look forward to reading your feedback on Prepar3D v2.5!

My first impressions are very good.
Although I am getting Horizontal screen tearing!
Haven't seen that in a long time. Never mind,I'll
get to the bottom of that
Terrain water reflections seem fixed.
I have tried maxing out all shadows
on the high as apposed to the Ultra
setting and they all seem to work
perfectly on my system. Terrain
and cloud shadows playing fine
together.
It is vanilla but I did notice that
the CPU does not appear to be the bottle
neck anymore!!! Did you guys future optimize
for multi-core CPU's. I see in Task manager
that the load is more spread out among the
cores than it was in V2.5?
CPU core 0 on my i7 4770k at 5.1ghz is around
40% to 50% as are the other 3 but they are just a bit
lower while my GTX 780 is nailed to 100% !!?
I am installing PNW now so if I get the same
results I know you did something big

No problems with download or install, however I needed to replace the scenery.cfg with my v2.4 version to get the installed scenery back. ORBX working on a fix for FTX central and ASN also getting worked on for v2.5 compatibility. Very fast fps with P3D recommended settings (lower than I normally use) which I will leave for now as it looks really good.
