Re: P3D crashing after loading
Thanks for your fast reply! Anyway I'm going to change PC, I'm fed up with this one, already on v4.5 I had the DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED error for no apparent reason.

Re: dxgi error device removed...
As for me, I've never run more than one software at a time, since it doesn't make sense. But yes, as much as it might sound awkward, many people prefer to run other brand's software since it's considered to be more complete and stable, with great success. As to my experience, I'd been running these ...

Re: dxgi error device removed...
You should only - I repeat ONLY - run the software provided by the card's manufacturer or OEM, and only one instance of such software.
Running software from both EVGA and MSI is inviting problems.

Re: dxgi error device removed...
I apparently solved this issue in my rig by not running the video card's software. I used to run both EVGA and MSI ones, the so called best ones.

Re: dxgi error device removed...
1. Run the latest P3D version (you don't mention which one you have), and
2. Update your nVidia device driver to the latest available.

This device (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 ) stopped working for the following reason : DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED.

When you uninstalled your current video drivers did you use DDU in Safe Mode to ensure all elements were removed?
And just confirm you’re now in 471.96 please.

Re: New P3D user, DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG every flight
Guys Ive quite a history with the old Device Hung crashes dating back to early 2018 when using 4.2 or 4.3. I dont sim that often or just short flights but a couple of months after I got my 1080ti I soon became plaqued with the DXGI crashes (100s of them). They could happen in minutes or random durat...

Re: New P3D user, DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG every flight
After additional testing with 5.3 plus HF1, I received the DXGI error a bit later than I had been yesterday, took about 5 minutes instead of a few seconds. The ContentErrors.txt logged the following:
[error.1]
error=DirectX device removed. Reason : DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
Best,
Brooks

After several days of problem free operation I am once again receiving the DXGI_HUNG_DEVICE Error. It appears than none of the alterations I made to the sim made any difference and I once again receive the error each time I attempt to "disable" VR (Oculus Rift S) Some of the fixes appeared...
