Hello,
Just wanted to put in a request. Since we can already have snow covered runways, it looks very funny without snow covered taxiways and apron. This really should be implemented in the next or future version of P3D.

Re: Realistic startup for turboprops - undocumented feature
Thank you for the answer, Mike. Is there any way to alter the ground friction in P3D?

Realistic startup for turboprops - undocumented feature
Hello, Just recently became aware of this function described by Mike Schroeter in this post: https://prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6317&t=120643 Could you please elaborate on this a bit more in detail? I'm trying to fix a couple of the turboprop addon planes I own. Any other useful function...

Re: Some Prepar3d notes about the platform improvements and fixes
Totally agree. I recognize parts of this post are things I have written in previous posts on avsim but also here on this forum, which is okay. I really hope LM would look into this. I've been using this platform since v1, and really love it and have a ton of addons for it. But unless something more ...

To feature aircrafts or products from other developers would certainly come with a high cost in licensing.

Re: Lockheed L-1011 TriStar
I'll leave aircraft up to 3rd party developers, not LM. LM should instead focus on improving the core sim, not adding new aircraft. After all, default airplanes are the first I delete when I reinstall P3D.

Re: realistic leaning of piston aircraft: an approach to finally get there
I totally agree. This bug has been in P3D for as long as I can remember. And one of the reasons I only fly A2A GA airplanes. Simply because they have their own external physics and engine simulation which bypasses P3D's own, which is quite buggy with several issues. This bug along with several other...

Re: Any ATC revolution coming to P3D?
I think this is a very good idea. However, I think LM should prioritize getting the basics of simulation right before adding and improving existing features. We still have several bugs and fundamentals that is not being simulated correctly. 1. Ground friction bug 2. Turboprop simulation is totally w...

Re: Helicopter Autopilot Additional Capabilities
What I'm thinking is that we should first get realistic helicopter flight dynamics before requesting improved autopilot capabilities. The helicopter flight dynamics is a big joke to be honest, and seriously needs major improvement.

Re: Flaps fix for most aircraft.
We're talking GA aircrafts here. Especially older ones. I can't recall any spesific aircrafts at the moment, but I HAVE flown aircrafts with this kind of flap operation in real life.

Re: Realistic jet engine/turpoprop start-up
The turboprop model in P3D is far from realistic, including the startup. The only realistic turboprop in P3D is Majestic Dash 8 Q400. But the reason for this is because engine physics and flight dynamics are taken outside of P3D. As far as I know it's not possible to make turboprop startup realistic...

Re: Ship Motion and Wave Animation
Totally agree. Wave animation in P3D v2.0 was quite good. After that they broke it. The way it looks now is hilarious.
The rest of the water has improved slightly since v2.0. I'm still dreaming of the water they have in DCS World, which is quite good.

Re: Things a Core Flight Training Sim should have!
Totally agree with you. We need better aerodynamics, ground handling, helicopter simulation, realistic turboprop simulation and also realistic water dynamics. Along with a few legacy bug fixes from FSX. This should get improved before anything else. This will make it possible for all the 3rd party d...

Re: Next Version
This is true with all the other flight sims as well. There's no way around. You need to invest in addons. Instead, I would like to have LM give us a good platform that 3. party developers can create on. And, what is really lacking in P3D right now is proper simulation of fundamentals like turboprop ...

Winter operations
I've been making a bit of a fuzz here lately about the broken turboprop simulation in P3D v4.1. When it comes to graphics I'm pretty satisfied for now. However, one thing annoys me. During winter, we have snow on the runways. But the aprons and taxiways are all clear of snow and ice. This should be ...
