As a matter of fact, I do keep the sim synced to my PC... I will try that out! Thanks!

It's the same one that comes up for everyone's P3D5...

I am failing to see the relevance of your comments. If I build a new PC, install the P3D product AS IS, why would I need to care about how the program installs the default AI Traffic? None of that changes the fact that the problem exists (at least for me) and has existed since initial installation. ...

The how would you explain the fact that it began with the clean install and no addons?

Again, the first part of my comment was "It started with a clean install back in April after a PC build".

There was no change after adding Traffic Global, which only updates the liveries for the stock AI traffic.

Is there a tunable parameter that would allow the AI traffic to refresh less often? I like a lot of traffic so I have the sliders on full. Every time the "Loading Air, Sea and land traffic..." pop-up appears, it completely wipes out all of the existing traffic. As an example, I could be at...

I deleted the run time data. Restarted p3d and it now shows the proper version.

Ran the installer and all appeared to go well, launched p3d and noticed the Help/About still shows version 4.4...
