If all else fails (last resort) do a 'cloud' reset of your PC.
Reinstall P3D and all your add-ons.
I started from a clean install of Windows 10 2004 + latest Nvidia drivers + P3d v5 HF2 and haven't had a single problem in over 2 weeks.

Re: stuttering when looking sideways
Disabling hyper threading in the BIOS fixed this for me.

Re: P3D starts automatically
This is a Windows 10 "feature".
If a process is running when you shut down, Windows starts it automatically.
Solution is to wait a while after closing P3D before shutting down.

Hi John,
Can you right-click on the installer file you are trying to use, select properties, select the Details tab and post the information here please?

Re: Re - installing P3D
You are correct Jorgen - only the full installer file needs to be extracted:
https://www.prepar3d.com/Prepar3D_Downl ... ons_v4.pdf
Do not extract any of the CAB files! The installer program will do that automatically :-)

Re: Re - installing P3D
Hi Jayteeaitch,
I don't work for Lockheed Martin but I will try to help :-)
May I ask which program you are using to unzip the download file?
I tend to use 7-Zip (www.7-zip.org) as I have experienced checksum errors when using the built-in Windows zip facility.
Cheers,
Dave.

Re: ATC runway selection
Hi Snowfalcon, I use a program called Pro-ATC/X which reads weather from Active Sky (other weather products are supported). Pro-ATC/X clearance delivery will calculate the appropriate runways, SIDs and STARs based on the weather. Unfortunately, P3D default traffic is not so reliable and I often find...

Re: Missing Airports In P3DV4
Hi Reza,
P3D is based on the FSX database so these airports are probably not included.
You would need to install a 3rd party scenery.
I was very disappointed when I found this out.
And most of the missions are missing.
And no airliners...

I don't work for Lockheed Martin, but most companies tend not to discuss internal strategy with random internet strangers.

Platform Detection - Automatically Suggest a Configuration Profle
Hi, Please could LM consider an auto configuration module in P3D. It would detect the platform hardware (CPU, RAM, GPU etc) and software (Add-ons etc) and automatically work out the optimum settings. The module would then suggest a configuration profile to apply from a number of pre-set configuratio...

Re: Is it okay now to install V4.5
What are the serious performance & stability issues?
4.5 is running great for me, if anything I'm getting better performance.

Re: Ghost ATC conversation on ATIS frequencies
Active Sky can generate an ATIS broadcast. Is it maybe coming from there?
