Re: Performance and backwards compatibility

Hello, As far as performance, I am using the 3080 card and a fast processor and I am getting about 10 frames less in v6 than in v5.4. This is at the default KDCA with the default airplane in v6 and add-on airport and airplanes in v5.4. Same story in KJFK, v5.4 performs better with all the add-ons t...

Performance and backwards compatibility

Hello,
I'm just wondering, now that V6 has been released for some days now, is there any increase in performance over V5.4? How about compatibility with V5.4 airport scenery?

Re: Lockheed Martin Wake up !!!

Hi Guys, If I might add a little bit to the mix. I think the non military userbase is also a very valuable tool for LM. As was mentioned above, LM prefers to focus on training pilots with their simulation, however that does not come easy. A beta test group is needed so that that job doesn't fall on...

Re: Locating an airport in P3Dv5 scenery folder

Hello @ SkyKing and Dan,

Thanks for the info on these two programs. I'll do a search for them and try them out. They might be just what I need.

Locating an airport in P3Dv5 scenery folder

Hello Everyone, I have yet another scenery problem, but this time it's an elevation issue. I think I may have a double airport that is conflicting. ie" one from new scenery and the P3Dv5 one. I went to look for the bgl in the P3dv5/scenery folder but they are all numbers so I have no idea which...

Re: Scenery CFG Error

I bet the path length is too long. Try uninstalling it and reinstall with a significantly shorter path, like c:\cyam Hi Sky King, Thanks for your interest. That's possible, but the strange thing is that this scenery has been installed for a long time, so it's odd I'm getting this error now. I was h...

Scenery CFG Error

Hello Everyone, Tonight I received a cfg scenery error from a scenery that I have not touched in ages, so I don't know what caused the issue. It does not matter if I click 'YES' or 'NO' to the error question, P3D will continue to load. The odd thing is, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with t...

Version 6

I keep hearing and reading little bits about P3D V6. Is there any truth to this or is it all rumors?

Re: Prepar3d becomes unresponsive to mouse input?

... it sounds like a classic situation where windows wants you to action something on a screen somewhere before continuing. ... I use alt-Tab key to find such "mouse-stealing high-priority hidden blockig windows" as they are not always shown in the task bar. If that doesn't work, I minimi...

Re: Prepar3d becomes unresponsive to mouse input?

I as well have been seeing this issue more and more lately. I lose the ability to select P3D dropdown menus with the mouse. The tool bar also will not open with mouse, but it will with the Windows Key. Sometimes using the Windows key to open the Task Bar and close it brings back focus and I can acce...

Re: View Group xml Location

Hi All, Well, it does appear that my Viewgroups.xml file is really messed up. Would someone be kind enough to send me a vanilla copy of their Veiwgroups.xml file. It doesn't matter if you have used viewgroups or not, just looking for the original file so I can start over again. It would make it a lo...

View Group xml Location

Hi All,

I seem to have messed up my view groups and I want to check my viewgroups.xml file but I can't seem to find it. Could someone tell me the location of this file please?

EDIT: Disregard this post. I found it in ProgramData/Lockheed Martin/Preparedv5
