Very laggy simulator after PC shut down

Post by Joris_Aviator »

Hey, I really need help... I have turned on P3D like 2 hours ago and it was running really good. After that I turned off my pc and now it's like 5 fps on all planes and airports... How should I fix that? On task manager everything is not higher than 60%. Of also before shutting down pc I installed Cargolux config for PMDG 747-8.

Specs:
GTX1660 super,
16gb ram
I5-9400f

Best regards,
Joris

Joris, go here:

https://www.prepar3d.com/SDKv4/prepar3d ... ation.html

and here:

https://simmershome.de/prepare3d-v5-einstellungen/ (this site is in German, but there is an English-language option)

To calculate your AffinityMask properly, we need to know exactly what P3D version you have.

On the hardware side, you could try overclocking your CPU.

Hello, Jorgen,

thank you for your reply. I use PrePar3D v5.3. Just want to mention that I haven't touched my settings for over year and this lag issue just appeared out of nowhere... So lowering my settings didn't help...

I deleted some plane registration out of C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\PMDG\PMDG 747 QOTS II\Aircraft\Backups and it helped and I did succesful flight. After that I turned of my simulator and after few days I turned it back on and I have same issue again... Maybe it's not even P3D issue but maybe some file is corrupting everything... I don't really know.

Video of how simulator looks when lagging: https://medal.tv/games/prepar3d/clips/1 ... OTE1OTIzLA

I don't know what else should I do.... Please help :)

I fixed issue!!!
Solution: unplug one by one usb out of pc and one of them will cause lag. After that just connect usb back and it will work all fine!

Happy flying,
Joris
