I built a lesson in SimDirector where I freeze the aircraft position to explain a concept.
If the aircraft is in a bank when I freeze the aircraft position, the compass continues to "turn" even if the aircraft position is static.
For example, I freeze the aircraft on heading 090 and the aircraft is in a slight right bank.
When I unfreeze the aircraft, the compass indicated 180 degrees.
I ask the student to reset the heading indicator by pressing the letter D on their keyboard.
However, it is not practical in virtual reality.
I would like to create a script in SimDirector that will reset the heading indicator to the actual aircraft heading when I unfreeze the aircraft.
In other words, how do I script pressing the letter D on my keyboard?
Thanks

Re: Heading indicator (reset)
Hi Ray,
That freeze command will only freeze the Lat/Lon/Alt on the object. It's more of a game-level setting. You might try toggling freeze on/off directly on the user's aircraft using both:
"IS LATITUDE LONGITUDE FREEZE ON" and "IS ATTITUDE FREEZE ON"
These will toggle freeze on/off on both Lat/Lon/Alt and Pitch/Bank/Heading respectively.
Hope this helps,
Mike
