[RESOLVED] Beech 58 without G1000 radio stack blank. Prepar3D v4

Post by aspen31 »

Hi all
Came across a strange problem in P3D V4.2. Don't fly the Beech 58 much but lately had a look and discovered that the non G-1000 Beech 58 radio stack shows only a black blank with no click spots and no lights of any kind. Everything else appears fine and the .cfg looks okay as well.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks
Warren

Maybe try a "repair" of P3D or go throught the debug steps:

Thanks for the suggestions. I hesitate to get into too much repair since this is the only and very small issue I have found with P3D V4.2. I went back to an archived Beech 58 from P3D V3 and it displays exactly the same "black and blank" radio stack - I guess I missed it since I rarely use the Beech 58.
I did attempt a repair of the "client" but the results are exactly the same. I'm wondering if there is a gauge missing.

Just wondering, why are you going back to the Beach Baron P3Dv3/v4.2?

Hi again
I went back to an earlier Beech just to assess the results - to see if I had radios - which I don't - exactly the same appearance as the P3D V4.2 version. As a bit of additional information if I select the "Radio Panel (or stack)" under "vehicle / instrument panel" all that shows is a black square. The G-1000 equipped Beech 58 looks fine although I have not flown it.
Thanks so far.

Looks like an Uninstall / re-install to me.

Hi again
Thanks. With everything else working fine I probably won't attempt a re-install - I'll just avoid the standard beech 58 and play with it now and then to look for a fix - intriguing but not serious - must be something I have done since I have not been able to find other collaborating reports.

Another point. The radios seem to work in terms of contacting ATC etc., even though the radio panel shows only a black silhouette with no lights or click points.

Hello Warren

For future reference you can repair the Content component, This will return the gauges back to a default state again

Navigate to the windows Control Panel, Right click on Prepar3D v4 Content and click Repair
