For those experiencing this issue are you seeing it on both v3 and v4? Also do you still see a crash on a clean Prepar3D installation with no add-ons installed?

I don't have the P3Dv4 yet.
A clean installation without add-ons, I can not check. In any case, this happened today after the Windows update. After uninstalling the Windows update, the P3Dv3 will work again.

Hi there,

same for me after installing KB4038788: P3Dv3 always crashes short after loading has finished at 100 %. Switching on or off of some plugins doesn't change this behaviour. Deactivationg of addon scenery also doesn't.

By the way: P3Dv4 doesn't crash and runs without this problem.

In the windows event log i see 3 issues.

first:

We are also not seeing any crashes running stock P3D v3 and v4 on the latest Windows 10 update. For those that are experiencing this issue there could be a specific add-on or peripheral that is causing compatibility issues with this update. Please try going through our general debugging steps here to isolate the issue:
viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=123246

Also, as mentioned in our general debugging steps, please ensure all drivers are fully up to date as well.

If all addon sceneries are deactivated, P3Dv3 runs fine. If I activate a single scenery, whether Orbx, Aerosoft Mega Airport Frankfurt, then it doesn't. If I start P3Dv3 without addon scenery and activate them later via menu WORLD/SCENERY LIBRARY it seems to work also. Confusing! Will go further research.

I am also having this issue. Purely stock v3 works fine. But as seem as I install one add-on, doesnt matter which one, it crashes upon loading to 100%. Also uninstalled the update and it is now working fine.

EDIT: Noticed a new thing, after a fresh install of v3 and installation of all add-ons, It runs fine the first time you start it. Then all subsequent startups are crashing again.

Same here. Spent many hours trying to isolate it and disabled all add ons.

Stock aircraft seem to work. Any other aircraft (PMDG/A320X) cause a hand at the moment the application loading is complete and the screen is about to paint. I could temporarily delay this happening by loading the Cub and then switching to another aircraft.

Fault is always initiated by a 1026 NET Framework error, usually followed by a 1000 NET Framework error. Tried earlier versions of the client. Tried running diagnostics on NET framework. Tried assorted known good video drivers.

Ran SFC and DISM. All good

Uninstalling KB4038788 resolves the issue. First time I've ever had an issue with a MS update.

Kind regads

Yep me too. So glad I'm not the only one.

If I keep trying, it eventually loads, but accessing the options and trying to import a different control config eventually crashes.

Might have been a fluke that it loaded the scenario , but then eventually crashes after a certain time.

I disabled all add-on sceneries, and disabled all USB but it still crashes, only after uninstalling the KB it worked, but after another reboot the KB was installed again, and back to the same problem, any fixes to this yet?
