Hey SpacePort Team!

What's next for this title? Can we look forward to another demo release? We haven't heard from you in a month - please let us know where you are at!

Hi there!

Yes - we are working on the next installment of the demo, which should be ready within a week. We have fixed all the installation issues, AND the sound issues with P3D version 5.x.

Also, we are working on a Kickstarter funding campaign, which we will start in a few days. This will hopefully allow us to shift the development into final stage. Watch this space for more news on it.

Hello everyone!

(In case you missed the announcement we posted in the separate thread...)

We are pleased to announce that we have just released a new version of our SpacePort demo, version 1.01.00! You can download the newest version from our web site. In this version we have included many fixes and improvements to the code, models, graphics as well as the installer. Also, you can access the SpacePort user manual here.

Fixes and improvements include:
  • Fix for the sound bug for P3D V5
  • Proper joystick control support for spacecraft
  • New joystick support and control regime for EVA.
  • Installer improvements, including the ability to disable all add-ons which might interfere with SpacePort.
  • Various model, fx and graphics improvements
  • New object menu controls
We have tried to thoroughly test all aspects of SpacePort functionality, but as always, please let us know if you have problems installing or running SpacePort - we can't fix problem's we don't know about, and there is simply no way we can test all the possible configurations that exist out there.

Oh wow! Looking good!

I can confirm that both P3D V4 and V5 loaded without problems and are working perfectly! Although, some V5 effects are almost non-existent. In v5, I can't see any RCS jet exhaust/plumes...

Other than that, great work, guys!

Hello!

No problems here as well! Works nice! I was hoping to see rocket coming out of hangar on the crawler transporter, like in screenshots. Please, where is it?

Ah yes - we didn't Include it because it can be a frame drain. But - if you want to activate it, it is easy:

Go to where you installed SpacePort,

Then, go to SpacePort\SimObjects\GroundStructures

Then, open GroundStructures.cfg

Find this entry:
// Crawler Transporter in front of VAB
[xxGroundStructure.3]
sim= CRAWLER_MLP_SLS_B1

and remove "xx" in front of GroundStructure.3 so it looks like
[GroundStructure.3]

Save and reload the flight - that's it! If you want to hide it, simply put "xx" back.

Hello,

Yes - Just choose VAB from object control menu, and the options will be there to open and close both vertical and horizontal doors. Only High Bay One (south east) doors works for now, in reality High Bay Door 3 (north east) seems to be used for SLS. We will correct that in the future.

Hi everyone!

A quick development update: After a summer vacation hiatus, we are back to development with full force. Currently, we are concentrating on the implementation of a proper and robust guidance algorithm, without which we can't perform multi-mission profiles. This may take a while, as the math is rather complex and requires a lot of research.

Along with this track, we are also upgrading various graphics assets in line with the recent availability of reference material due to the several cycles of launch windows (and cancellations) of Artemis I.

As always, please feel free to download the demo and play with it, and please make sure to let us know if you encounter any difficulties or bugs along the way!

Cheers,
